For the purposes of the Water Framework Directive (WFD), the catchment is divided into 33 water bodies, 29 of which are rivers or streams.
Seven waterbodies have been classified as having ‘Good Ecological Status’ , 23 at ‘Moderate Ecological Status’ with 4 classified as ‘Poor ecological status’. No water bodies meet High ecological status. No water bodies reach Good Chemical Status. These classifications are from Cycle 3 published in 2023.
